Selecting Answers from the Answer Pool

You can add Answers or select them from the Answer Pool.

1. Click   on the Assessments/Surveys menu to expand it.
2. Click Questions.
3. Display the Question you are looking for by using the filters as described in the following sections.

Filtering Questions by Name

You can narrow the list of displayed Questions by filtering by name or description.

1. Type a portion of the Question name or description in the Name/Prompt contains field.
2. Click Search.

Filtering Questions by Category

You can narrow the list of displayed Questions by filtering by category. On the Questions page:

1. Click Select Category.
2. Click the option button next to the Category associated with the Question you are searching for and click Return Selected.
3. Click Search.

Filtering Questions by Question Type

You can narrow the list of displayed Questions by filtering by Question type. On the Questions page:

1. Select a Question Type from the drop-down list.
2. Click Search.

Filtering Questions by Catalog

You can narrow the list of displayed Questions by filtering by catalog. On the Questions page:

1. Select aCatalog from the drop-down list.

The Catalog drop-down list displays if global sharing is enabled. See Global Sharing for additional information.

2. Click Search.

Filtering Questions by Status

You can narrow the list of displayed Questions by filtering by status.

1. Select aStatus from the drop-down list.
2. Click Search.

4. Locate the Question you want to view in the Questions section and click  next to it.
5. Click Edit Question Details to change the Question details.
   or
   Click to edit the Question.

6. Click the Answer tab.
7. Click Select From Answer Pool.

The Answer Selector page contains its own set of filters to help your search. By default, the Answers displayed are all Answers in Active Status in the current LearnCenter. You can use other filtering options as defined below.

8. To search by Answer Status, select one of the following options:

• Active - displays all Active Answers.
• Inactive - displays all Inactive Answers.
• Both - displays both Active and Inactive Answers.

9. To search by Answers in Category, click Select Category.
10. Click the option button beside the Category to be included in the filter, then click Return selected.
11. To search by Answer, define the search string in the text box then specify whether the Answer contains that string anywhere, or if it begins with that string.
12. To search by Catalog, select one of the following options:

• LearnCenter - displays only the Answers that belong to the current LearnCenter.
• Global - displays only the Answers that are available Globally.
• Both - displays the Answers that belong to the current LearnCenter and the Answers that are available Globally.

13. Select the number of results you want to Display from the drop-down list.
14. Click Search to display the search results.
15. Click the check boxes beside the Answers for this Question, then click Return Selected answers. The selected Answers appear on the Add Question page.
